"Eagle-hunter On The Mountain Lake By Friedrich Voltz (german 1817-1886)"
Wild hunting scene with the eagle, pulling a fish from the water of the lake, it was created in 1881 and due to the manner and the monogram was attributed to the good German animal painter and landscape painter of the Munich school Friedrich Voltz (1817 - 1886 Munich). It is signed with the artist's monogram FV (illuminated) and dated 1881 (see photo from Monogramm lexicon). In addition to his well-known motifs with cows, the artist also created hunting scenes in the Alps.

Condition: good general condition, old professional relining of the canvas.
