Object description :

"Persian Na'in Rug, 119 Cm X 213 Cm, Kork Wool And Hand-knotted Silk Circa 1980, Iran, Perfect"
Hand-knotted Na'in rug in Kork wool and silk, Iran, circa 1980 in perfect condition, measuring 119 cm wide by 213 cm long.
The Na'in are considered to be the finest knotting rugs in the art of knotting today, their place of manufacture east of Isfahan made them considered among the Khorassan types while representing a group apart.
They are tightly knotted and therefore very resistant.
The ornamentation of these marvelous carpets, used delicate arabesques medalled with sometimes vases as added elements or wonderful and ingenious arrangements of arabesques with flowers and boteh motifs full of momentum.
The Na'in resembles Isfahan stylistically by the balance of colors and the delicate articulation of the designs apart from the colors used.
The shades commonly used are blues and blacks placed on cream or white backgrounds, sometimes combining straw yellow but also more rarely deep red. The thin bottom knotting uses silk, fine wool and cotton in densities ranging between 500,000 and 900,000 knots per M2.
Our model does not derogate from these rules and offers us a magnificent quality piece, a large medallion accompanied by borders very present in decoration in the Persian style and taste.
The blues usually used are found on the domes of mosques in ancient Persia and Central Asia.
The kork wool is the softest wool collected under the neck at the first shearing which makes rugs soft to the touch.
This rug has been professionally cleaned and environmentally friendly.
Original tension bands under the carpet which gives it good rigidity once put in place.
Impeccable selvages, fringes and velvet The last photo shows another Na'in that we present on proantic
