Moïse Gabriel Ducré, born in Saint-Sulpice (Lausanne) around 1742, died in Plainpalais on July 17, 1804. Resident of Geneva in 1775. He was received as master silversmith on January 18, 1777 by presenting, as a masterpiece, a large fish dish [from Vevey 1985, p.108]
