Holy Family and Saint John the Baptist on parqueted wood in a beautiful Italian frame in gilded wood early 17th century 62 x 53 with frame This version of the Holy Family presents the Virgin and Child, surrounded by Saint Joseph and little Saint John - Baptist. The Virgin protects the two entwined children with her gaze, her body and her hand. Saint John the Baptist, dressed in a veil, stands above the lamb The child Jesus is naked on a cloth, leaning on the knees of the Blessed Virgin. Saint Joseph has a meditative attitude. In the foreground on the right, a broken column pfigures the fate of Christ.
