The set represents a pastoral scene,
* with a fisherman and polychrome glass fish,
* a shepherd with his dog and his sheep in spun glass,
* A farmer woman with his pottery, a man and his horse, all in spun glass
* a fountain (the water jets are here in transparent twisted glass or even skillfully made with silk nets, a swan and various fish (sturgeon, eel, ...), frog or snail ...
I ve counted around 30 spun glass elements, including 10 larger
We also used a fragment of a mirror, shells, stumps and wooden branches, sand and small stones, several stuffed birds in order to give life to this popular way of life scene (If we find more commonly cribs, or other religious processions, secular subjects stay rare!)
Possible sending additional photos on simple request, because there are so many details that the announceùent photos are not sufficient in my mind to reflect well the richness of this set !
Very good condition. It should also be noted that this is its original bubbled glass on the front of the box containing this delicious spun glass scene.
Only the small chalet in the center of the landscape does not seem to me to be from the other elements period.
This remarkable work of detail is typical from XVIIIth cty Nevers productions (please discover in particular the superb sets at the Nevers Earthenware and Glass Museum)
