Large and rare bronze patinated metal clock by
Arthur Waagen (1833-1898), titled in a cartouche "Time is Money". The clock is composed of a smiling young woman decorated with coins and horns of plenty. The proverb 'Time is money' is found in the work of Benjamin Franklin, published in George Fisher's 1748 book The American Instructor, in which Franklin wrote: 'Remember that time is money'. Mechanics in working order, bell spring to be repaired.
