Oil on panel representing Mbao (Senegal) dated 1944 and signed Pierre Castagnez lower right. Born in Castillon sur Dordogne (Gironde) in 1898, died in Dakar in 1951. "Landscaper, specialist in colonial impressions, from 1933 to 1940, he exhibited at the Salon de la Nationale and in the Autumn aspects of Senegal, Sudan and Guinea. " (Benezit).
