Object description :

"Wisdom Of Age, Terracotta, Italian School Early 19th Century"
Allegorical statuette, terracotta, featuring an old Italian Shepherd with a large bonnet, seated, feet crossed, abandoning his staff and his flock; on his left, the faithful dog, on the right he holds a book, which he looks carefully.
Beautiful sculptor's original work, Italian school circa 1800.
Appearing fine condition, but, while doing my research, I saw that the previous owner had it restored, it is well done. I enclose, last photo, a view of the object as it appeared in public sale,.
