Josef Moerenhout (1801 - 1875) is a painter of figures, landscapes, and engraver of the Flemish School. Student of the Academy of Antwerp and of Horace Vernet. In 1824, we find this artist in The Hague, then in Paris. In 1831 again in The Hague and later in Antwerp.

Period mid-19th century.
Condition: as is, "in its own juice", note slight scratches and two small scales at the top of the table. Some fine cracks without gravity. Usual wear on the frame.
