Signature or label engraved under the vase but unreadable. XXth cty
We find here naturalistic forms of this late XIXth and early XXth ctyArt Nouveau artistic movement which had great success in France and everywhere in Europe, and also in the United States: the flared shape of the body of the vase but also at the level of its trilobate neck with bulbs.
Design are reminiscent of Louis Confort Tiffany's iridescent ated glassware, like curved and ordered feathers of peacock, but the vase shapes of the latter are simpler, sleeker and more "modern or contemporary", unlike Loetz who likes to play with his blown glass shapes with collars with multiple spikes stretched hot.
