ABLETT, William-Albert (1877-1937) - Painter born in Paris to British parents, he was a pupil of A. Aublet and Gérôme and pursued a respectable Parisian career while maintaining his links with his original homeland. Received first at the School of Fine Arts in Paris, he exhibited at the Salon of French Artists in 1900 and in London in 1902 and 1904. He was a member of the Royal Academy in London while remaining an associate of the National Society of Fine Arts. arts where he sent works until 1936. He participated in the Liège exhibition in 1909 where he was distinguished, at the “Epatant” circle, in Monte-Carlo, Toulouse, Rouen, Douai and Pau.
