Interesting oil on canvas depicting a snowy landscape in the Normandy countryside. Our painting is signed lower right Pierre gautiez and sold unframed. Pierre Gautiez (1923-2006), student of the School of Fine Arts in Rouen, he first worked as a water and forest.
After the war of 39-45 , passionate about jazz and a high level saxophonist, he accompanied the Alix Combelle orchestra for a season. In the 1950s, he ended up devoting himself to painting, painting the dead trees of the Bay of Sommes, Normandy, Rouen and its surroundings, also Brittany, Haute-Savoie, Roussillon .....
