He follows the drawing courses of Auguste Clément Herst. Armand Point began by painting
paintings of a naturalistic aesthetic, then in 1877, he left high school and went to (French) Algeria to draw the landscapes of his native land. Seduced by North Africa, he paints Orientalist subjects. He returned in 1888 to Paris, where he was already known for his naturalistic works sent to the Salon in 1882. At that time he awakened the desire and passion to possess all the techniques to develop his project of marrying art and poetry. In 1890, he moved to Marlotte in the forest of Fontainebleau. In May 1893 he enlisted among the primitive Italians and now advocated art under the auspices of tradition. Having reconstructed an egg painting process, he combines this scholarly technique with his symbolist inspiration.His friend the painter Mario Pérouse (1880-1958) made him discover the Murol School, where he came to paint every winter in 1919, 1921, 1923 and 1924, producing works absolutely different from his previous paintings.
