"Hot Water Fountain Empire Period Early XIXth"
Hot water fountain in lacquered sheet metal and gilded bronze Empire Period early 19th century. Cylindrical red lacquered tank surmounted by two black lacquered handles underlined with gold, closing with an ivory lacquered double evolution cover ending in a gilt bronze pinecone. The gilded bronze tap delicately chiseled with a swan's head at its end and two imperial swans surmounted by a flower for the opening and closing valve. The tap springs from a woman's mask in gilded bronze finely chiseled with palmettes and flowers. The lower part used to receive the heater in ivory lacquered perforated sheet metal rests on four claw feet surmounted by gilded bronze lions. Empire period work in good condition retaining its original colors and gilding.
