Epee with a strong short blade from the 18th century, bearing the inscription "MANUFACTURE ROYALE D'ALSACE". Created by LOUIS XV, in 1731 and transformed in 1781 by LOUIS XVI, into "Manufacture of weapons of Klingental". Engraving with the title of the royal manufacture of Alsace with couple on floral decoration and illegible inscription on the heel of the blade. See photos. Long ricasso bearing the engravings and inscriptions over 12.5 cm, extending into a short flat blade with 2 edges and median flat. See photos. Length of the blade with the ricasso, 51 cm. Iron frame with joining arch ending in a curved quillon. Half oval tray (1 Pontat) with antique engraving of a character, flags, bundles. Watermarked fuze (restored watermark).
