Oil on hardboard representing the Tour glacier located in the Mont-Blanc massif, in the town of Chamonix-Mont-Blanc and which overlooks the hamlet of Le Tour at the bottom of the Chamonix valley.
Signed lower right Cossard.
Period: around the 1930s 1940.
Condition: Good condition, slight accident in a corner of the painting under the frame (see back), normal wear on the pretty Montparnasse frame. Dimensions with frame: 65 x 57 cm

Auguste Eugène Adolphe Cossard, (1880 1952), painter of figures and landscapes. Symbolist tendency. He exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants in 1926 and at the Salon des Artistes Français in 1928.
