Louis Frédéric Dupuis (1909 - 2003) is a painter of genre scenes and portraits. Born October 12, 1909 in Bayonne, pupil of his father at the Bayonne drawing and painting school. Pupil of Pierre Laurens (1875-1933) at the Beaux-Arts in Paris, then of Paul-Albert Laurens (1870-1934). Louis Frédéric Dupuis was director of the School of Drawing and Painting of Bayonne, from 1944 to 1963, then a simple teacher from 1963 to 1978. His painting goes from classicism and academic tradition to the most subtle research of the contemporary art.
