"Louis XVI Lion Clock"
Beautiful chiseled gilt bronze clock representing a standing lion in black patinated bronze, rectangular base with step surrounded by garlands resting on four small ball feet, lion supporting a circular dial topped by a covered pot on a pedestal and knotted laurel garlands, dial enamelled with Arabic numerals for the minutes, Roman for the hours. Samuel Marti movement complete but worth cleaning up. This model combining gilded bronze and patinated bronze is typical of the founder Jean-Joseph de Saint Germain in the 1750s, our pendulum is located between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century.
