"Fox And Hare By Anton Weinberger (1843 - 1912)"
The animal painting with a fox and two hares was made by the famous German animal and landscape painter Anton Weinberger (1843 Munich - 1912 Wiesbaden). The artist studied since 1860 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, worked as a drawing teacher in Leipzig and St. Petersburg (1872), then studied in Berlin under Paul Meyerheim. In 1884 he lived in Vienna, where he worked as a court painter (portraits of dogs), then until 1888 in Munchen, bis 1902 - in Wiesbaden. His works can be found in the various noble collections, among others in Gera Castle, the Hummelshain Hunting Castle in Kahla, the museums in Mainz and Wiesbaden.
