Martinez (early 20th century): “Conversation in front of the farm”, oil on canvas 54 X 65 cm, mounted in a very beautiful gilded frame of 76 X 85 cm style. Some attribute the works of this painter to Raoul Martinez (1876-1973), but I cannot guarantee this attribution, although convenient, but which is not attested. We regularly find on the market works of this animal artist whose sense of light chisels his representations of animals staged as here with this farmer returning from work with his draft horses who stops to tell little about the pretty farmer on the doorstep.
