"Large Wrought Iron Castle Fire Screen, Spark Screen, Grille, Circa 1900"
Exceptional castle fireplace screen with extraordinary dimensions (length 2m04) in wrought iron, manufacture from the very beginning of the 20th century. Sumptuous work of art ironwork with a pattern of windings and acanthus leaf resting on two feet whose front is also worked. The rear of the firewall is made up of a very fine mesh grille preventing the projection of sparks. This gate is in very good house condition, the wrought iron has been well weathered by time and use. Note, a very slight separation of a few centimeters from the mesh grille at one of the lower angles and along the upper border (see photo for details) which cannot be seen from the front and which does not affect the aesthetics. nor the effectiveness of the object. Very nice object both useful and very decorative in front of a beautiful and large open fireplace.
