The subject represented in this bronze sculpture is that of motherhood: there is the face of a mother and placed under her chin, the face of her daughter who is still a child. The expression of the two characters with their eyes closed gives this work a great softness and delicacy of maternal love in which the whole sculpture is enveloped.
The bronze rests on a rectangular base, in the lower part of the work there is the signature of the artist Francesco Falcone and the dating of the work, 1927.
The sculpture is in bronze with dark patina, the technique used is that of cast bronze, for this reason the rear part is hollow.
The general state of conservation of the work is quite good.
