Indian Miniature (delhi Late XVIIIth)

Indian miniature (Delhi late 18th century), watercolor, gouache and gilded highlights on paper 15.7 X 10.8 cm the subject, 27.7 X 21 cm per sheet, mounted in a carved exotic wood frame 37 X 30 cm. This miniature, in spite of its condition (numerous scuffs, the painted patterns have been cut and mounted on another sheet), is very beautiful, of great delicacy with this couple of lovers having tea huddled on rugs and cushions and the delicacy of the ornate framing scrolls is exceptional.
