"Louis XVI Teapot, Amsterdam 1780, Barend Swierink, Sterling Silver, Trekpotje"
Extremely rare Louis XVI period teapot in solid silver with the hallmark of the city of Amsterdam and the year 1780 (V) and the maker's mark of the goldsmith Barend Swierink. Also present on the bottom of the coin is an "N" hallmark known as "lossingsteken", proof that the taxes of the French occupation were paid in 1795. The Dutch teapots of the eighteenth century are generally small because in the Pays -Bas we used to make a very full-bodied tea that was stretched out in boiling water. It weighs 325 grams.
