Genre painting with half-naked beauty by a forest stream was executed ca. in 1876 and due to provenance and composition was attributed to the Slovenian genre and portrait painter Auguste Santel (1852 Stainz - 1935 Ljubljana / Slowenia).

Inscription: signed with a female first name (as he admits, 19th century female painters quite often signed their own works with their first names) and dated 1876.
