"Promenade With Officer By Laszlo Frecskay (born 1844)"
Humorous genre scene in the forest with walking couple of a young girl and dandy -officer. The painting was executed in the second half of the 19th century and signed indistinctly "L.Frec ..". We attributed this painting due to the style, composition and time of creation to the Hungarian painter Laszlo Frecskay (Pest 1844 - Budapest 1916), painter and illustrator, studied in Budapest and since 1867 at the Academy of Fine -Arts of Vienna, where he worked for a long time until his return to Budapest in 1911. He began in Vienna in 1869, since 1871 working as a caricaturist and illustrator for famous magazines: in Vienna "Die Bombe"; "Der Floh"; "Wiener Illustrierte Zeitung"; in Leipzig and London. His genre paintings were very popular through illustrations and reproductions. He also created with the Viennese painter Hans Temple the stage of the gallery "Wiener Ringtheater-Brand 1885". In 1911 he moved again to Budapest.
