DESCRIPTION : Very beautiful and powerful blade of Katana Shinshinto, Mumei, Certified Ikkansai Yoshihiro by N.T.H.K, with her very beautiful Koshirae from Edo period. (Warning, this sword is sold with the certified copy of the original certificate which has been lost and which cannot be reissued)

This Shinshinto blade is very representative of the forging work of the famous blacksmith "Nakayama Ikkansai Yoshihiro", with his characteristic Hada and Hamon, it is an exceptional blade by his work. Nakayama Ikkansai Yoshihiro (real name "Suzuki", also called himself "Zenkichi Kurondo"), bears this name because he used the Ikkansai technique, he forged in Hitachi and then in Edo. His blades are characterized by their sought-after resemblance to those of "Go Yoshihiro", whom he admired and therefore focused on the Hada and the Hamon of the blade, In the Tempo Era 4 and 5 (1834-35), he became the official blacksmith of the Matsudaira Family, whose stronghold is in Maebashi, a town north of Edo. From that time he lived and forged in Maebashi. He died on July 12, 1865, at the age of 64. After his death he left a number of disciples.
