The little chief Sekor invited me to visit his father's abandoned Nassara, and I was able to acquire this ROM mask fern from inside the collapsing Nassara. You can see on this fern by its V-shape above its cap, that it supported the frame. This place of the chiefs' kava was also the place of making ROM masks out of sight of women. This rare sculpture of the Rom grade is little observed.
