"Wooden Sculpture Of Saint Anne Educator"
This antique wooden sculpture presents Sant’Anna while educating her daughter Maria to read passages from the Bible.Often the image of Jesse's tree recurs on the book on her hands, that is the first genealogical tree in history, from which the lineage of Mary and Saint Joseph originates, therefore of Jesus.
In this specific case, some elements have been lost, like most of the appendices added to the ancient wooden sculpture.
The precious workmanship of this work is highlighted by the delicacy of the features on Maria's little girl's face and the careful drapery of the clothes that softly covers the two bodies.
