The symmetrical structure of the decor is typical of the Empire style. Created by the Christofle studio in 1967, Malmaison is “The” Empire cutlery model par excellence. It bears the name of the castle which was the favorite vacation spot of Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte and Empress Joséphine. Its ornaments - water leaves, openwork lotus flower - and the symmetrical structure of the decor are typical of the Empire style.
