Since scenes from the stories of Saint Augustine are depicted, they were probably designed to constitute the liturgical furniture of rooms related to the Augustinian order. In fact, the proposed scenes are those of the meeting along a coast between the saint of Hippopotamus and the child eager to harvest the sea with a spoon. The other scene represents the saint welcoming 3 poor beggars. The frames are finely carved in several orders of sculpture.
