Elegant pastel early 19th century after Maurice Quentin de le Tour (1704-1788) representing Louis of France, Duke of Burgundy (1729-1765) Dauphin of France, original painting presented at the Louvre museum. This painting represents Louis of France wearing the Blue Cord of the Order of St Esprit and the Order of the Golden Fleece tied to a red ribbon passed around his neck. This pastel of superb quality is of great finesse, the colors remain vivid and luminous; Several copies of this portrait are present in different museums. The whole in very good condition is presented in a period frame under a glass.
