Buffet Louis XV Two Bodies Forming Showcase In Carved Walnut, Eighteenth Time, South West

Superb sideboard in two Louis XV style bodies in richly carved solid walnut. Lower sideboard opening onto two doors and two drawers. Upper part with pass-through slide opening onto two glass doors forming a showcase. On escragot feet and sides accepted in reserve, the lower part is supported by a scalloped crosspiece with inlay inlaid with a star in its center. The doors are deeply carved with typical Louis XV motifs. The drawers carved with asparagus tips. Upper part in gendarme hat, with scalloped doors and sculpted and inlaid pediment, sculpted sides in reserve. Furniture in very good condition, the interior has been lined with a very beautiful quilted fabric. Some usual restorations, walnut wood very slightly pitted by endroist but totally acceptable on an old piece of furniture. Period late eighteenth, early nineteenth.
