Painter of genre, landscapes, seascapes and still lifes, Eugène Henri Cauchois entered the School of Fine Arts in the studio of Alexandre Cabanel and Ferdinand Duboc. He participated in the Paris Salon from 1874 and became a member of the French Artists in 1890.
He concentrated on decorative painting towards the end of his life.
His works are kept in the museums of Louviers, Perpignan and Rouen.
