"Buffet Two Corps XVIIIth Alsace"
Two-body piece of furniture called a gendarme hat or Alsatian police hat buffet in solid bleached oak dating from the 18th century, probably from Strasbourg. Composed in the lower part of two doors and upper part, of a servant zipper, of two doors, the whole topped by a sumptuous curved cornice with ears, richly carved with foliage and a figure in its center in an oval, with note that all the doors and side parts have a double extending panel, as are the frames with double and triple moldings. The canted uprights are also molded and carved with regency period ornaments ... Original internal locks and cremone bolt !! Very elegant and decorative furniture ...
