Emile NOIROT was born in Roanne in 1853 and died in 1924 in Saint-Germain-des-Fossés (France).
Painter of the Ministry of the Navy, out of competition at the Salon of the Society of French Artists, Emile was a great traveler. If he traveled the coasts of the Manche, Brittany and Normandy, if he liked Venice, Provence or the mountains of the Alps and Velay, it was in the Roannais region and in Saint-Chamond that his works most often enjoyed his development and his creative. As for the subtle charms of Forez, they forced the artist to control his ardor. His "way" classified him among the romantics, realists, on the fringe of impressionism.
A good number of his works are present in museums ...
