"Belt Buckle Decor Of Roses In Steel Points XIXth Century Circa 1830's"
Lovely steel belt buckle decorated with stylized roses in faceted steel points. There are 16 of them and are entirely composed of faceted steel elements forming the petals and very finely faceted half-pearls forming the heart of the flower. On each side, the flowers are alternated with spikes in the shape of shuttles. Each element is hand riveted next to each other on the loop (see reverse). Its fully beaded outline and multiple facets give the buckle shine and sparkle. The closing system is also made of steel; it includes three prongs and a clip. Work from the mid-19th century and yet so current! Dimensions: 6 cm x 3 cm Weight: Good general condition. A small lack in a petal on the left side. Some traces of oxidation. The joint works perfectly. Many other objects to discover in my stand at the antique fairs in which I participate.
