This piece of furniture from the Nantes region is embellished on its top with a magnificent gray marble veined with white posterior to the period. Featuring projections at the angles as well as in its center, this plateau is highlighted by a groove around its periphery.
The perfectly symmetrical front of this unique sideboard features four knockout drawers and four also knockout miter doors, complete with interior molding and made from a single seamless birch plank. These doors open with a remote lighter and close with original working iron locks, accompanied by their respective keys. Each diamond-shaped entrance is made of brass. Inside this piece of furniture, one will notice the quality of workmanship of the doors shaped with flat strip and moldings typical of the Loire Valley.
The body of this row follows the lines of the marble and presents projections in the center and on each side. The doors are surrounded by pilasters made up of three flutes. The central pilaster is adjacent to the left door.
At the front it offers two canted feet embellished with fixed grooves ending in a spinning top and a right foot in the center. The sides of this row consist of two solid cherry wood panels accompanied by straight rear legs with fixed grooves. The interior elements are in oak and chestnut.
This Louis XVI sideboard in finely worked solid cherry will seduce you with its light lines and elegance.
