The original watercolor (grisaille) as the design of the postcard from Vienna was executed ca. 1900 by the good Austrian artist Josef Kraenzle (1874 - 1937). Kränzle was a famous illustrator in Vienna at the end of the 19th - beginning of the 20th century, working for various newspapers, magazines and making designs for postcards.
Inscription: signed J.Kraenzle, lower left and inscribed in German "Vienna".
Technique: matted grisaille (one color watercolor) on cardboard.
Dimensions: image 18 x 25.5 cm; with passpartout 33 x 48 cm.
Condition: in good condition.
