Grand Garde-Manger Chestnut drainer, from the Rance Valley, dating from the 19th century. This Regional Furniture is topped with a Molded Gendarme Hat Cornice and rounded angles. It presents a door with a curved frame and a miter cut, revealing two storage spaces separated by a mobile shelf, placed on fixed brackets. In the center, a perforated sheet metal panel is decorated with Stylized Religious Motifs. An Altar made up of a Cross surrounded by birds and candlesticks surmounts the inscription "Leprince Anne Sorbe" and makes this furniture Unique. This door is provided with a lock in working order. Its brass entry is Carved with Fine Arabesques and is accompanied by its Original Key. Below, this Pantry offers a Drawer opening with two Brass Buttons. Below, we find an open part: a Drainer surrounded by a Gallery of Spindles Turned and finished in Balls. The interior is decorated with a Shelf and a Board with slots formerly used to store household accessories. In addition, this Cabinet is raised by a Paneled Chest installed subsequently.
