"Rare Pair Of Corner Cabinets In Walnut - Late Nineteenth"
Set of two pieces of furniture in Quarter Circle, in solid walnut and veneer, and composed of two bodies. The upper element is a tiered shelf, with generously scalloped contours and sculpted in windings. The trays, two in number, are of decreasing size. The lower part offers a top with a molded rim and, as a belt, a small drawer with a pull button. Its rounded facade is underlined by ornate rods forming frames, ornaments that can also be found on either side of this drawer. Below, each Corner opens with two arched doors, fitted with a working lock accompanied by its key. These leaves are made up of recessed panels with pretty Walnut veining. The interior is furnished with a quarter-round shelf, placed on racks and therefore adjustable as desired over a total storage height of 67 cm. The whole rests on a wide plinth, itself camped on three short legs positioned at each of the three angles. The back of the cabinet and the bottom of the drawer are in Chestnut. We will appreciate the Movements of this Pair of Corner Cabinets, their Curved lines as well as the variety of designs offered by its Walnut. Note the very good condition of these Corner furniture, devoid of wormholes and cracks. Each of them can be dismantled into two parts.
