"Johann Nejebse (austrian-czech, 1810-1856) Two Portraits Of Young Siblings"
A pair of portraits were executed in 1850 and depict young siblings of the Kraus family: Brother Sigismund in Austrian military uniform, 13, and his older sister Elisabeth, 18 (due to the inscriptions on the back of these paintings). The author of the two paintings - Austrian portrait painter and genre painter of Czech origin Johann Nejebse (1810 Budniau-Karlstein in Bohemia - 1856 Baden by Vienna). His works are very rare on the art market. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and from 1835 to 1839 exhibited through academic exhibitions.
