Large Art Deco painting oil on canvas signed A.DEBERGUE (Alfred André Debergue XIX-XX) and located lower right Honfleur 1947 note a period label from the Sainte-Catherine Art Gallery present on the back on the frame . Composition Expressionism depicting the bustling Place de l'Obélisque descending towards the Rue du Dauphin. Good condition, period frame in patinated carved wood. Dimensions: 76 cm X 65 cm / at sight: 61 cm X 50 cm. Alfred André Debergue, born in the 19th century in Paris, is a painter and watercolourist of urban landscapes, he exhibited at the Salon des humoristes in 1929 the painting La Table d'hôte. He settled in Honfleur and mainly represents the landscapes of the region around Granville: Saint-Pair-sur-Mer, Montmartin-sur-Mer, Coutances, Saint-Lô, Dieppe, Les Sables d'Olonne, Perros-Guirec , Vimoutiers.
