"Painting By Emile Noirot"
The painting that we present is by Emile NOIROT, this one is dated 1889 and represents a landscape, either around Roanne or a Forézien landscape. He was born in Roanne on June 5, 1853 and died in 1924 at the age of 71 in Le Bourzat near Saint Germain des Fossé (03). He was the official painter of the navy in 1889 (curiously at the date of our painting). One of his masters after his father Louis NOIROT was Charles François DAUBIGNY, that is saying something. He was an excellent painter and will always remain so. (E)
