"Port Nantaise Commode In Yellow Mahogany From Saint-martin, Louis XV Period - XVIIIth"
Charming Chest of Drawers in Yellow Mahogany from Saint Martin, made in the spirit of Nantes. It should be noted that there are very few Furnitures which are made of this highly sought-after Wood Species. Its top, exceptionally composed of only two Planks of Wood, has Molded edges and Cutouts in Accolade on the front. This piece of furniture, with the front face cut in retractable crossbow, opens with three large drawers of identical depths of 17 cm, all separated from each other by dust covers. The facade of these openings is turbulent and scalloped in their edges, thus harmoniously following the lines of the tray. Each of these storage units is equipped with a lock in working condition accompanied by its Iron Key, a pair of Bronze Pull Handles with Openwork Brass Plate, like the Crafted Entrances. The interior of the compartments is in solid mahogany. The lower crosspieces of this chest of drawers are nicely fretted and carved with several scrolls along their length and in their center. The sides of this piece of furniture are paneled, and have their upper parts slightly moved. The uprights are cut-out and end with small Snail feet at the front. We will undoubtedly appreciate the Delicate and Elegant appearance of this chest of drawers, which also combines a substantial storage capacity. It will delight its Owners for its Pretty Golden Shades of Mahogany, which will perfectly match the styles of Current Interiors.
