Long Console In Mahogany And Marble, Transition Louis XVI / Directory - Eighteenth

Beautiful Console Table in Solid Mahogany and Cuban Mahogany Veneer from the 18th century, presenting a thick Beige Marble in Pink and Orange tones, veined with Gray and White. This Original Marble presents in its periphery a Groove and a Shape with Projections which follows the lines of this Furniture steeped in History. The Belt opens with a large drawer on the front and two smaller ones with rounded shapes on the sides. They benefit from a Burl Mahogany veneer with Brass Net Inlays, and are each equipped with Entrances and Original Locks in working order, accompanied by their reported Keys. This Set is supported by Square Section Feet, inlaid with Nets on each visible face and presenting Bronze motifs on each side of the central drawer. These motifs, finely sculpted, surmount small waterfalls adorned with a Louis XVI knot. This Furniture benefits from a Mahogany Shelf embellished around its perimeter with a finely worked Brass Gallery in its upper part. In the lower part, the Feet are surrounded by a Bronze Ring, then profile in Sheath on the four sides decorated with Net inlay, and end with Brass Hooves. This Elegant Console is an Essential Element to Perfect a Classic and Harmonious Decoration, it will also be appreciated for its Prestance and its Proportions.
