"Pedestal Table In Mahogany Burl Veneer And Marquetry, Charles X Period - Early 19th Century"
Mahogany Bramble Veneer Pedestal Table, Charles X Period, Round Tilting Top. The latter sports in the middle a Marquetry in tinted Light Wood, in the Venetian style. There are represented in particular a Woman with a Parasol, a Child climbing a staircase, a fountain and birds with long tails coexisting in an Animated Park. This Decor is underlined by Lemon tree nets, inlays also serving to divide this tray into ten equal parts. The set rests on a tripod base, consisting of a main shaft with slightly concave sides, and finished with three cut-out and widely offset legs for a good grip on the floor of the Table. Here we also find lemon nets as embellishments. A brass system with latch bolt is positioned under the top. It allows, in a simple and fast way, to activate the tilting of this one, and to make this Pedestal table space-saving. In addition to being Functional and Adaptable, this Round Table benefits from a Veneer with pretty Bramble Designs and a Marquetry made with Finesse.
