A vase with a hand painted Japanese seascape. We can see many figures, houses, a pagoda, boats and seaside vegetation and, in the background, a faint silhouette of a mountain landscape. Closer to the spout of the vase we see flying birds and intricately painted ornamental designs. Glazed porcelain, hand painted. Japan, Arita?, Meiji era (1868-1912). Signed "山田造：Yamada made".
