Pair Of 18th Century Wall Consoles In Carved Wood

Superb and elegant pair of carved oak consoles from the 18th century. They each represent a character holding an animal in his hands, a fish for one and a lip for the other. Superb work of sculpture in the round, where the characters are presented on a background of foliage. Each of the consoles is topped with a scalloped and molded top at the back. Quality work in excellent condition, can easily be fixed to the wall to present an object to highlight.
