"Louis XIV Mirror In Brass And Walnut"
Superb and elegant Louis XIV period mirror in walnut veneer and repoussé lairon. Rectangular in shape, the ogee beam is covered with a walnut veneer on which are fixed decorative brass elements, with floral motifs, the whole ringed with a blackened wooden stick. The perimeter of the mirror is lined with an embossed brass frieze fixed on a molded blackened wooden strip. The mirror is bevelled to accentuate the effect of depth. Work of good quality in excellent state of conservation, posterior board.
